Mychal’s Path to Independence is an Adult Day Program for individuals with developmental disabilities ages 18-30.   One of the primary goals is to prepare the students for adulthood through educational/prevocational, life skills training that will foster appropriate behaviors through volunteerism.

Money Smart is a comprehensive financial education curriculum designed to help low- and moderate-income individuals outside the financial mainstream enhance their financial skills and create positive banking relationships.

Danny’s Closet of Hope is a non-profit, faith and community-based organization committed helping men who seek assistance in obtaining adequate clothing for interviewing, gaining and maintaining employment, and building hope for a new future.

The President’s Volunteer Service Award is the premier volunteer awards program, encouraging United States citizens or lawfully admitted permanent residents of the United States through presidential recognition to live a life of service.  Bella Communities recognizes resident volunteers with PVS Award.

President Obama established the Hardest Hit Fund in February 2010 to provide targeted aid to families in states hit hard by the economic and housing market downturn. The recipients may receive aid by completing one of three offered options: job training programs, educational programs, or structured volunteer activities.  United Way of Central Indiana will be implementing the Structured Volunteer Activities component only and Bella Communities will be hosting recipients, known as HoosierCorps volunteers.

Brown Mackie College  provides higher education to traditional and nontraditional students through bachelor’s degree, associate’s degree, and diploma programs.  The college strives to develop within its students the desire for lifelong and continued education through classroom instructions and externships.  Bella Communities hosts externships to benefit both students and residents.
